Here's the book, I'm In Charge of Celebrations by Byrd Baylor, pictures by Peter Parnall.
I really like this book. I was first introduced to it through the book Calm and Compassionate Children: A Handbook by Susan Usha Dermond. I shared this book on a previous Book Sharing Monday post. The native girl takes us through the year of celebrations she has created to celebrate the world and life around her. Some of them maybe ones you've thought about, others aren't so much, but show how there is a reason to celebrate the little, strange and funny things others may miss. Again, it's a great book for children and adults!
The book is a paperback and in very good, almost new condition. It does not look like it's been used--ever. There is a '3W' written in pencil on the inside cover. Are you interested??? Leave me a comment below.

I, too, have never read this book. It sounds lovely.
We'd love to enter, "A Table Where Rich People Sit" is one of our favorites :) We haven;t read this one, but I am sure it's just as good.
this book sounds soo good. I love recommendations :) not sure how good our range of books is in NZ though :), oh well, there's always Amazon.
