I am very excited!!! I found one of my favorite books at a tag sale the other day. (Yeah, I know, I've been downsizing my personal library--but I couldn't resist. I LOVE BOOKS!)
In additional browsing I found another one!!! I decided to get it too and offer it on my blog as a give away to one of you lucky readers!!!
Here's the book, I'm In Charge of Celebrations by Byrd Baylor, pictures by Peter Parnall.
I really like this book. I was first introduced to it through the book Calm and Compassionate Children: A Handbook by Susan Usha Dermond. I shared this book on a previous Book Sharing Monday post. The native girl takes us through the year of celebrations she has created to celebrate the world and life around her. Some of them maybe ones you've thought about, others aren't so much, but show how there is a reason to celebrate the little, strange and funny things others may miss. Again, it's a great book for children and adults!
The book is a paperback and in very good, almost new condition. It does not look like it's been used--ever. There is a '3W' written in pencil on the inside cover. Are you interested??? Leave me a comment below.
On Thursday, May 13th about 10pm I will close comments, compile the names and draw one. I will share the winner's name on Friday, May 14th. Please leave a way for me to contact you, preferably via email, so I can get your mailing address should your name be picked.
Would you like to increase your chances of winning? If you have a blog, write a post about this give-away linking back to me and post a comment letting me know you've done that. If you're a follower, I'll add your name again. If you're a participant in my 100 Books-a-Month Challenge your name will be added again as well. (If you're not part of the challenge and would like to be, please join us by clicking the link above or on the sidebar! However, I will only be using those who have been a part up to this point in this particular give-away. Thanks for understanding!) :D
I'm looking forward to sharing this book with one of you!!!
